Society of Shoe Fitters
The Society of Shoe Fitters was founded in 1959 and it is a non-profit organisation. Membership is for the individual and is open only to those who are qualified. The Society assists members of the public who have problems related to shoe fitting, foot care and shoe buying. They also train people who work within the shoe industry how to fit shoes correctly. They also compile information leaflets about foot health and footwear, copies of which we have in the shop. The society is made up of shoe fitters, chiropodists, podiatrists and other individuals who have a connection with the shoe industry.
